Aerion continues to build strong and innovative partnerships to help explore global mobility solutions optimized for speed and founded on sustainability.

This month Aerion announced an expansive collaboration with NetJets, the largest private aviation company in the world, and FlightSafety International, the leader in professional aviation training, - both Berkshire Hathaway companies - to shape the future of global mobility.

NetJets, the owner and operator of the world's largest and most diverse private jet fleet, obtained purchase rights for 20 AS2® supersonic business jets, extending Aerion's global order backlog to USD $11 billion+ ahead of the 2023 production start. Aerion will also be exploring NetJets' becoming an exclusive business jet operator for the global mobility platform, Aerion Connect™.

Adam Johnson, Chairman and CEO of NetJets Inc. said "Together, we will be exploring the integration of the AS2® supersonic business jet into NetJets' global network, and we are honored to be their chosen partner to enable the Aerion Connect™ vision."

In collaboration with FlightSafety International, Aerion intends to develop a supersonic flight training academy for civil, commercial, and military supersonic aircraft.

Aerion is preparing to enter production with the AS2® supersonic business jet (SBJ), which will shave hours off long flights, returning precious time to passengers. But travel isn't only about moments spent in the air between airports. It's really about going from one's front door to one's final destination. Aware of this, Aerion Connect™ is a seamless service to plan an entire trip, saving even more time in the process.

Aerion Connect™ By creating a network of regional partners in different sectors, Aerion Connect™ will enable clients to coordinate their itinerary with the click of a button. Emerging tech, like eSTOL and eVTOL aircraft, will make the journey to the airport a breeze. An Aerion AS2® will carry passengers to their destination city at 1,000 mph, and another urban mobility vehicle will deliver them to their final destination, saving not only time, but needless hassles.

Ultimately, Aerion Connect™ will offer a better travel experience. Just imagine leaving Manhattan at 8:00 am for a London meeting and being home in time for dinner with your kids. Aerion has already announced key partners for Aerion Connect, including NetJets, Jetex for its network of FBOs, Electra.aero for its eSTOL aircraft, and Carbon Engineering for Direct Air Capture (DAC) synthetic fuels.

The AS2® SBJ will cruise at 1,000mph while staying whisper quiet thanks to Aerion's Boomless Cruise™ technology. The AS2® will leave New York and arrive in London in four hours - two before a conventional subsonic jet would touch down. But the AS2® is not the end of Aerion's supersonic plan. It's the beginning. Now, Aerion is partnering with NASA for the third time in less than a decade to develop the future of supersonic flight.

Both NASA and Aerion share an interest in developing next generation high Mach jets capable of cruising in the range of Mach 3 to Mach 5. The NASA Langley Research Center and Aerion's team will explore the suitability of different propulsion systems and thermal management technologies designed to handle travel at such rapid speeds. The research group will also focus on key integrated power systems and cabin technology.

The combined team will accelerate the commercialization of ultra-high-speed jets by researching technology crucial for Aerion's next generation airliner, the AS3™.

A Mach 4+ commercial airliner which could take flight before the end of the decade - the AS3™ - will introduce a new era of commercial transportation. With design and ideation work underway, the AS3™ is planned to incorporate revolutionary advances in technology and change the way you experience our world.™

The AS3™ will be built around input from some of the world's largest airlines, with technology that will improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact, with the capability to transport 50 passengers at a range of 7,000 nm.
